Sydney, Australia: A Few Golden Days Down Under
Some cities photograph themselves, and Sydney is one of them. I landed with my Canon 5D Mark III in tow and spent my days chasing the way light moves across the harbor – that particular blue-gold glow that shows up right before sunset and makes everything look like a postcard.
Wandering the harbor city
Sydney has a rhythm to it – ferries crossing the water, the skyline catching the last of the afternoon sun, streets that feel equal parts laid-back and cosmopolitan. I spent my time doing what I always do in a new place: walking until something stopped me, then raising the camera.
Shooting it on the 5D Mark III
This whole set was shot on my Canon 5D Mark III, which has become something of a road-trip companion at this point. There’s nothing like traveling somewhere new with just a camera and no real plan beyond finding good light.
