I grew up in Washington, and after years of shooting all over the country, I’m more convinced than ever: this is one of the most beautiful places on earth to say “I do.” That’s exactly why this couple’s adventure elopement at That PNW Cabin still makes me smile.
Why That PNW Cabin
Though I’ve traveled all over the country for work, I’m convinced there’s nowhere quite as beautiful as home. So when this couple reached out to photograph their elopement at That PNW Cabin and a few other nearby scenic locations, I jumped at the opportunity. They wanted to embrace those true PNW vibes – moody forest light, mountain air, a cozy cabin backdrop – so that’s exactly what we did.
An All-Inclusive Elopement in the Cascade Foothills
Last year, I launched an all-inclusive elopement package built around my own a-frame cabin in the Cascade foothills. It takes the stress out of planning: I handle the decorations, the location scouting, and of course the photos, while still leaving plenty of room for a couple’s own input and vision for their day.
What a Day Here Looks Like
Couples can say their vows right at the cabin, or we can hike out to one of the stunning nearby spots that surround it. Afterward, there’s a small reception complete with cake, and if the day turns cold – very likely, given PNW weather – couples can warm up in my cedar wood-fired hot tub, tucked along the creek that runs behind the cabin.
