Not all of my favorite work happens behind the camera. This gallery is modeling work I did for Free People’s social media platforms – a fun departure from my usual spot directing a shoot.
Stepping in front of the lens
These images come from a handful of different shoots and photographers, each bringing their own eye to the Free People aesthetic – boho, breezy, and full of natural light. Why I still love being on the other side of the camera
Modeling reminds me what it feels like to be directed, posed, and photographed – which makes me a better photographer for my own clients. It’s a good exercise in empathy: I know exactly how it feels to be self-conscious in front of a lens, and I bring that awareness into every session I shoot.
