Boudoir doesn’t often make it onto this blog — most of the sessions I shoot are quiet gifts, tucked away for a bride to give her husband. This one was different.
Stepping outside the usual
For this session, I wanted to take boudoir out of its usual four walls and into the outdoors — a styled shoot built entirely around my own creative vision, with Allison, a local artist, as my subject.
Why outdoor boudoir
There’s something about natural light and open air that changes the mood of a boudoir session entirely — softer, freer, less staged. It’s a style I’d love to shoot more of.
If you’re curious what an outdoor boudoir session could look like for you, I’d love to talk through the details. Every session is shot with care and complete discretion.
Frequently asked questions
What is outdoor boudoir photography?
It’s a boudoir session shot outside rather than in a studio or bedroom setting, using natural light and scenery for a softer, more organic feel.
Is boudoir photography only for brides?
Not at all, while many of my boudoir sessions are gifts for a partner, they’re just as often booked purely for the client herself, as a celebration of confidence.
