Sara and Dwayne said “I do” in Charleston, South Carolina – one of my favorite cities to shoot in, and a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding day.
Charleston has a way of making every wedding feel like it’s straight out of a period film – historic architecture, moss-draped trees, and light that photographers dream about. Sara and Dwayne’s day leaned into all of it, and I loved getting to document their celebration from start to finish.
Every Charleston wedding I shoot has its own personality, and Sara and Dwayne’s was no exception – full of the kind of joy, laughter, and love that makes this work so rewarding. Take a look through the gallery below for some of my favorite moments from their day.
If you’re planning a Charleston wedding of your own, I’d love to hear your story and be part of telling it.
Charleston is still one of my favorite cities to shoot in. Getting married there? Here is more on how I photograph weddings.

Yes – Charleston is one of my favorite wedding destinations, and I regularly travel there to shoot weddings and elopements.
Charleston offers historic architecture, moss-draped oaks, and gorgeous natural light – it’s an incredibly photogenic backdrop for any wedding style.
If you are planning something similar, here is what an elopement with me includes.
