A Commercial Jewelry Shoot for DeeRuel in Charleston, SC
Every brand shoot starts with a simple question: how do we make the product feel like it’s already part of someone’s life? For this one, the product was handmade jewelry, and the answer was Samantha.
A full-service brand shoot
For this project I handled model casting, photography, and wardrobe and styling for DeeRuel, a handmade jewelry store based in Charleston, SC. Rather than shooting the pieces on their own, we built out full looks around them, letting model Samantha Rueter bring each design to life the way it’s meant to be worn.
Styling jewelry as a story, not just a product
Commercial shoots like this one are some of my favorite work – pulling together wardrobe, location, and light so the jewelry reads less like a catalog and more like a moment. It’s the kind of collaborative, detail-driven project I love taking on for small, handmade brands.
If you’re a jewelry designer or small brand looking for commercial photography that makes your work feel personal, I’d love to hear about your collection.
