My dear friend Ashley wanted to spend the holidays in London and Paris, and what kind of friend would I be if I said no? But really, I’ll take any excuse to travel, especially if it means I get to eat beignets and drink wine all day.
Wandering the City of Light
We spent most of our time here just walking, exploring the city by foot the way I think Paris is meant to be seen — past the Eiffel Tower, in and out of every Zara and boutique the city has to offer, and stopping for some genuinely amazing restaurants along the way. There’s a particular kind of magic to Paris at Christmas: the lights strung along the boulevards, the smell of pastries drifting out of every bakery door, the whole city dressed up for the season.
