Lauren had this effortless, easy energy in front of the lens, the kind that makes a session feel more like catching up with a friend than posing for portraits. Her dress was downright gorgeous, and between that and her natural ease, the two of us walked away with some genuinely drop-dead beautiful images.

We shot at the Lowndes Grove Plantation, a historic Charleston property with an energy all its own. Spanish moss, grand old oaks, and gracious Southern architecture gave Lauren’s bridal photos a backdrop that felt both timeless and completely one-of-a-kind.

Charleston is one of my favorite towns to photograph in any time of year. Historic streets, swaying palms, and that unmistakable low-country energy make it a dream setting for bridal photography, whether you’re shooting at a plantation, downtown, or somewhere in between.
