Engagement photos at Mt. Rainier just capture love differently. The mountainous landscape provides such an intense backdrop that it captivates couples and brings out their light – and Crystal and Nick brought all the fun and laughter to prove it.
Mt. Rainier is a mystical, wondrous place. The mountain itself is only part of it – once you’re actually in the park, you feel the energy radiating from the wildlife and the trees. The whole atmosphere seems to vibrate with life and love.
It looks chilly, but a little snow can create the dreamiest setting for a session. The crisp air is captivating, and in my experience, it has a way of bringing couples even closer together.
Your engagement photos are the start of the story between you and your other half, and a shoot in the PNW’s wild beauty is one of a kind. If that sounds like your kind of session, let’s talk.

Small, non-commercial engagement sessions typically don’t require a permit, but it’s worth checking current National Park Service guidelines before your session date.
Late summer and early fall offer the clearest mountain views and wildflower meadows, while winter and early spring can bring a dreamy dusting of snow.
Dress in layers with sturdy shoes for the terrain, and lean toward earthy or muted tones that complement the mountain and forest backdrop.
