A Cheeky Swim One-Piece Shoot in Secluded Sanur, Bali
When Cheeky Swim brought back this one-piece for their 2018 collection, I knew exactly where I wanted to shoot it: somewhere secluded enough to let the suit — and the location — do the talking.
Finding Sanur’s Secret Corners
Sanur turned out to be the perfect setting. Quieter and less touristed than much of Bali’s coastline, it’s tucked away enough to feel private, with jungle-green backdrops that made me feel like an honest-to-goodness jungle goddess in this suit. The one-piece itself is handmade in Florida, and it’s just as gorgeous in person as it looks online — a piece I’d genuinely been hoping Cheeky Swim would bring back.
Styling, Modeling, and a Little Bit of Everything
This shoot was very much a full-circle effort — I styled and modeled the piece myself, with Pat Black behind the camera and me back in the editing chair afterward. There’s something satisfying about being part of every stage of a shoot like this, from picking the location to the final edit.
