Sometimes the best trips are the ones you don’t overthink. A few friends and I booked a quick weekend in the Bahamas to shake off the winter blues, and it did exactly what it needed to.
We kept it simple – hit the beaches, sipped coconut drinks, and went parasailing over that impossibly turquoise water. It’s the kind of trip where the itinerary is just ‘be outside as much as possible,’ and honestly, that’s all it needed to be.
We split our time between Freeport and Nassau, and while I’d probably choose a different tropical destination next time around, I can’t argue with the beaches – they were genuinely stunning, and for what we paid for the whole trip, it was more than worth it.
This set was shot on my Canon 35mm L lens, with a GoPro along for the water shots. Scroll through the gallery below for a look at a fast, sun-soaked weekend away.

Both are known for their beaches and water activities – think parasailing, snorkeling, and simply relaxing by turquoise water.
A Canon 35mm L lens is great for everyday shots, while a GoPro is ideal for water activities like parasailing.
