Every March, Savannah’s downtown squares turn into one giant green-clad party for St. Patrick’s Day, and in 2015 I spent the day right in the middle of it with three friends.
A city built for celebrating
Savannah takes its St. Patrick’s Day seriously — the fountains run green, the historic squares fill with crowds from all over, and the whole city seems to spill out onto the streets at once. Wandering through it with a camera meant catching all of it: the energy, the costumes, and the shady oak-lined streets doing their best to hold the crowd.
