Audrey at Sullivan’s Island
Some of my favorite sessions happen when I get to style, shoot, and direct the whole vision start to finish — and this evening on the beach at Sullivan’s Island with Audrey Smoak was one of them.
A golden hour styled session
We timed the shoot for that stretch of light right before sunset, when the sand turns warm and the ocean goes soft and hazy behind everything. Audrey brought such natural ease in front of the camera, moving through the dunes and along the shoreline while I worked the light from every angle I could find.
Behind the scenes
I styled, photographed, and filmed this one myself, shooting stills on a Canon 5D Mark III and capturing video with a DJI Mavic Pro for some sweeping aerial footage of the coastline, all set to Twenty Something (Remix) by Lucian. It’s one of those projects that reminds me why I love this work — total creative control, a beautiful stretch of South Carolina coast, and a subject who trusted the process.
