When Anthony and Madison told me what they wanted for their engagement photos, “homey and casual” were the two words that stuck with me — and I knew exactly the right place to give it to them.
We met at my a-frame cabin tucked into the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, the perfect spot to capture all the cozy vibes a couple could want. Snow, timber, and quiet mountain air did most of the work for us, and outside, the Cascades did the rest — tall firs, soft mountain light, and the kind of quiet that makes two people forget the camera’s even there.
It was always a dream of mine to own a cabin in the mountains, and now I get to share that dream with my couples. I’ve curated the inside with vintage pieces that scream “Washington” — snowshoes, an old hiking backpack, a pair of vintage skis, and an authentic wood-burning stove that actually works. Couples can snuggle up on the couch or gather around the fire pit for s’mores; there’s no shortage of ways to capture something real here.
