Olivia and Ryan have been married for almost two years now, and their way of celebrating it was exactly my kind of afternoon.
Riding the vespa around the park, feeding the ducks, and popping a bottle of champagne — that makes for the perfect evening if you ask me. We spent the session wandering through Hampton Park chasing that easy, golden light, leaning into a playful, Italian-holiday feel with the vespa along for the ride.
There’s something about photographing a couple with a couple of years of marriage under their belt — the ease between them shows up in every frame, no posing required. Between the pond, the tree-lined paths, and a little champagne to toast the occasion, this session had all the makings of a perfect park afternoon.
My friend Christopher Dobey (@christopherdobey) tagged along this day to film a video of a day in my life shooting portraits — a fun, behind-the-scenes look at what a session like this actually looks like from the other side of the camera.
If you’re celebrating a milestone of your own, big or small, I’d love to help you mark it with an afternoon like this one.

Yes — its open lawns, duck pond, and mature tree-lined paths make it one of the most versatile and photogenic parks for couple and portrait sessions.
Absolutely — anniversary and just-because sessions are some of my favorites, especially when a couple wants to celebrate their story with a bit of playful styling.
Definitely — personal touches like these make a session feel like you, and they always photograph beautifully.
