This was my second time photographing Susan, and I can’t get enough of this girl — she’s endlessly fun and genuinely a pleasure to shoot.
This time we headed to the Americano, a trendy little diner tucked into the heart of Mount Pleasant. Every corner of the place turned into its own perfect little set — green trees, colorful flowers, and bright hanging lights all coming together for the best possible backdrop. The Americano’s patio has become one of my favorite low-key backdrops in the Charleston area, full of texture and warm evening light without ever feeling like a photo studio.
Some clients just have that spark in front of the camera, and Susan is one of them. Sessions like this remind me how much a great location and a comfortable subject can elevate a shoot.
If you’re looking for a portrait session with personality — somewhere in Charleston or Mount Pleasant with character to spare — let’s find your version of the Americano.

Yes — this was my second session with Susan, and returning clients are some of my favorite people to shoot.
