Beaufort is one of those Lowcountry towns that feels like it was built for photographers — Spanish moss draped over live oaks, historic architecture, and water at every turn. On the drive down, I stopped in Sheldon, a quiet, historic stretch of the Lowcountry known for its ties to the Old Sheldon Church Ruins. Wandering both towns with my camera reminded me why I love this part of South Carolina so much — there is a slow, storied beauty to it that is hard to find anywhere else.
