Brittani and Trenton were an awesome couple to shoot, and Olympic National Park gave us one epic backdrop after another for their session — canoes, coastline, and a sunset that felt like it was showing off.
Lake Crescent on the Olympic Peninsula
I love capturing photographs with water in them, and Lake Crescent in Washington is one of the best locations I know for it. Getting out there with Brittani and Trenton was a genuinely fun afternoon, and their cozy little canoe turned out to be the perfect vehicle for capturing their romance — quiet water, mountains in the background, and two people who clearly like being around each other.
Beach photos in La Push, WA
La Push is an iconic photo location for a reason. The rocky coastline and the intensity of the water give way to some genuinely stunning frames. Brittani and Trenton naturally fell into embracing each other right there on the coastline while I hung back and captured their real, unposed smiles.
Golden hour at Hurricane Ridge
What I love about sunset photography is that every session is completely unique — like a snowflake, no two sunsets are ever quite the same, but the energy at golden hour is always inspiring. That was exactly the feeling at our Hurricane Ridge sunset shoot. Watching Brittani and Trenton embrace each other as the light turned gold and soft was one of my favorite moments of the day.

Olympic National Park is one of my favorite places to shoot because it’s so versatile — couples can get everything from iconic sunset photography to epic hillside portraits to quiet moments on the water, all within the same park.
