Our Iceland summer women’s retreat brought twelve women together in July 2025 to see the island at its most cinematic: wild southern coastlines, long daylight, and skies that never really went dark.
We traveled by road, which is the right way to see this place. We moved through dramatic beaches, waterfalls, cliffs, and long quiet stretches where the scenery felt both grounding and impossibly big. The days filled themselves with exploring and a lot of shared awe. The rhythm of the road left room for real conversation, terrible car sing-alongs, and the kind of reflection that only happens when a landscape keeps unfolding outside the window.
Long days outside, slow evenings in
Evenings were for slowing down. After full days in the wind and the light, we would land somewhere, take it all in, and actually talk. That is usually when a group of near-strangers turns into something closer.

I first fell in love with Iceland back in 2019, exploring it on my own. Getting to guide a group through those same places, solo, meant a lot to me. I watched the land do its quiet work while friendships formed and people found a little more confidence than they came with. What I remember most is how a solo love of a place turned into something we all shared.
